Meet LUCI, smart wheelchair technology designed for fearless individuals. Enhancing existing power wheelchairs, LUCI providing stability, security, and connectivity, prioritizing independence over autonomy.
As a vital part of the team, I contributed to bringing LUCI to life. From initial sketches to the production of final units, our collaborative effort ensured the wheelchair's design met the personalized needs of every user. Working closely with our electrical engineering partner, HWI, we seamlessly integrated electronics, cable routing, and sensor considerations into the overall physical design. Additionally, I spearheaded the development of custom joystick controls and led the LUCI Air project at LinkPD.
LUCI earned accolades as one of the Best Inventions of 2020, recognized by Time magazine and Popular Science. As well as gaining recognition by Forbes and CES
